Open Garments is a project funded by the EC: Consumer Open Innovation and Open Manufacturing Interaction for Individual Garments
The Jewel Tweaker is a demonstrator showing the possibilities for online Jewel design and manufacturing. Using the Jeweltweaker you can create design your own jewelry (at the moment cuff links). Your design can be saved as a STL-file, these STL-files can be used in a Rapid Manufacturing process to actually produce your design.

Current status
Using the JewelTweaker you are able to design your own cuff-link using the online design tool.
You can save your design on your local system using 'save model' . You can load an earlier made design using 'load model'.
'Add to cart' generates a STL model to be used to manufacture your design using Rapid Manufacturing techniques. (More info about these techniques you can find here or here in Dutch.)
Using 'edit design' you can edit your design by adding holes or adding shapes to the current layer. Resize your shapes by clicking and holding the RMB (Right Mouse Button) on the center of the shape you want to move.
Using the yellow control points you can change the size of the shape. Clicking on the blue control points you can add a new control point. RMB on a blue control point offers you the possibility to remove the selected control point.
To remove a shape you can drag it to the trash can. 
Multiple layers are available. Each layer is 2 mm. This can not be changed at the moment.
A gallery is available. Here you can find some reference designs to be used as a start.

Web cam preview
The Jeweltweaker offers you the possibility to view your design on your body using your web cam
To use these Augmented Reality technique you will need a modern web cam and a 8mm marker.You can download the marker from here. (In case u use a marker of a different size, your design will be resized accordingly).
- Set your web cam to mirrored.
- Make your web cam trusted.
In case correct version of Flash is installed it can be a security problem.

Set the Global Security settings: add your trusted location where to store the files.
Note: The Settings Manager that you see above is not an image; it is the actual Settings Manager itself. Click the tabs to see different panels, and click the options in the panels to change your Adobe Flash Player settings.
